Rescue Pittie Gets a New Sibling and Loves Him to the Moon and Back

When you wish upon a star
Makes no difference who you are
Anything your heart desires
Will come to you
If your heart is in your dream
No request is too extreme
When you wish upon a star
As dreamers do

Fate is kind
She brings to those who love
The sweet fulfillment of their secret longing

To this sweet pit bull, her being rescued was just the beginning of her dreams getting fulfilled.

She was among those millions of pit bulls around the world who have suffered so much from inhumane treatment and prejudice. Her “breed” is hated, although pit bulls are not really a breed but rather a term designated to dogs with a “muscular and block-headed” appearance.

In Treehugger, Rebecca Corry, founder of the Stand Up for Pits Foundation, explained, “Pit Bull is a term used to describe a type of dog based solely on appearance. While there is the APBT [American Pit Bull Terrier], the majority of all dogs labeled ‘pit bulls’ are, in fact, mutts. Simply put, they are DOGS. Plain and simple. People think all dogs with short hair and square heads are ‘pit bulls’ because they are uneducated, and many sadly refuse to learn. The media plays a massive part in spreading misinformation and mislabelling dogs, which continues to cost them their lives. It’s embarrassing and shameful at this point.”

Now, we can better understand the feeling of this rescue pittie, whose second wish to be adopted by a loving family was finally granted! Named Storm, she now enjoys a life that’s so different than her past — when she was just a puppy whose ears were cut off, when the sole purpose of her existence was to breed more puppies, and when she was dumped in a shelter when her former owner thought she was useless.

But Storm has another wish . . . and it arrived in her life as a bundle of joy! Her fur mom has given birth to a son, and he’s the most wonderful child that Storm has ever seen! Now, she has a little brother, and she can’t wait to have fun with him.

And as you may expect, the two became inseparable! Storm is always looking after her little brother Miles while he sleeps, plays, and slowly discovers the world.

Watching Storm’s family, you couldn’t help but wish that more and more pit bulls would find forever love and forever homes.
