Pit Bull Throws Childish Tantrum Over New Puppy Stealing His Bone

“Dogs also have the same hormones and undergo the same chemical changes that humans do during emotional states. Dogs even have the hormone oxytocin, which, in humans, is involved with feeling love and affection for others. With the same neurology and chemistry that people have, it seems reasonable to suggest that dogs also have emotions that are similar to ours,” wrote Dr. Stanley Coren, a professor of Psychology at the University of British Columbia, in an essay published in Psychology Today.

Dogs may communicate their feelings through vocalization, but they are more effective with facial expressions and body language.

According to Mikkel Becker, dog trainer and co-author of From Fearful to Fear Free, dogs are capable of feeling the following emotions:

  • Love and joy
  • Sadness and stress
  • Excitement
  • Grief
  • Jealousy
  • Anxiety and fear
  • Disgust

But what about more complex emotions?

In his book, Canine Confidential: Why Dogs Do What They Do, cognitive ethologist Marc Bekoff wrote “dogs are not only able to communicate basic emotions but also experience emotions that require much more cognitive processing as well…dogs have emotions just like people do, experiencing feelings such as love, anger, fear, grief, anxiety and joy. Dogs also produce more complex emotions, such as shame, embarrassment, jealousy, guilt, resentment, pride, and empathy.’

Amazing! And what’s even more touching is the fact that our dogs can recognize those same emotions in us. And it makes them respond in such ways that comfort us, cheer us up, and make us feel loved despite our imperfections.

There are so many reasons why we love our dogs!

In this viral post of a 60-pound pit bull, you’ll have an idea why his fur dad loves him so much. He behaves like a baby. And he cries his heart out like a baby! This was after their new foster puppy stole his bone right out of his mouth.

Poor thing! He’s such a good boy that he doesn’t want to cause a fight. Will dad do something about this mischievous newcomer?

Here are some of the best comments from Tiktok users:
