When Kaylieann Steinbach rejected all of the outfits her parents offered her for school picture day, they decided to let the three-year-old follow her heart.
And her heart said “Pootergirl.”
See, Kaylieann has severe hearing loss and can’t hear the sound of the letter s; for that reason, she pronounces “Supergirl” as “Pootergirl.”
So little Kaylieann wanted to be Supergirl in her school picture. “And well, I couldn’t argue with that answer,” her dad, Austin Steinbach explained.
So Supergirl it was.
Along with Supergirl, this cutie loves other superheroes, like Wonder Woman, Spider Man, Batman, and the Incredible Hulk. Her love was likely borne from her daddy’s interest, Steinbach admitted.
While the whole internet has been going crazy over the cuteness, there’s one population in particular that has reacted in a particularly touching way.
“The reaction and turnout from the deaf community is amazing,” he said. “I still haven’t been able to get through all the messages of support and kind words people have sent me. I could never have imagined how much her picture could have touched so many.”
Well, we think Kaylieann’s costume was a super WIN! Check out the video below to see the awesome picture!
