Woman Inspired By Her Brother Uses Her New Business To Raise Awareness For Autism

A woman from Houston County, Georgia, started a new business just weeks ago, but has already expanded her business model thanks to inspiration from her younger brother.

When Kiley Law started her business, K&J Bows, she knew she wanted to make a difference. Now she is using her business to spread awareness about autism.

Her brother, Derrick, who is ten years younger than Kiley, was diagnosed with autism when he was just 18 months old.

Growing up, Kiley noticed how differently people treated her brother, just because he had autism. While it always bothered her to watch, his positive attitude has always inspired her.

“He’s shown me, that it’s OK to be different, and that I want to strive to be different, because it makes you who you are, and I love him for it because he has taught me more than I have taught him,” she told 13WMAZ.

Her little business started with just hair bows for girls, but since her little brother loves ties and bow ties, she decided to incorporate those into her business as well.

So far she has sold 100 bows, but there’s no doubt she will be successful with her brother by her side.

Her bows will be available at a boutique in Byron, but for now she sells them through her Facebook page.
