When This Girl with Autism Sings “Hallelujah,” You’ll Get Chills

The special talent of one girl on the spectrum has gone viral worldwide.

Kaylee Rodgers is a ten-year-old girl at Killard House School, located in Donaghadee, Northern Ireland. And for a choir concert, she sang a stunning solo of an alternative, Biblical version of “Hallelujah.” She typically performs at a local church’s Christmas concert, but she lost her voice around that time—so this video was shot weeks beforehand and was played at the concert, instead.

Rodgers, who also has ADHD, is reportedly very quiet and shy in the classroom, but she clearly shines on stage. Still, it must have taken a lot of courage to perform, which is awesome on her part—way to go, Kaylee!

For someone so young, she has an incredibly beautiful voice. But as one YouTube commenter pointed out, “The fantastic thing about this video is that it’s not just good because she’s 10. And it’s not just good because she’s dealing with autism and ADHD. It’s good because it’s good—really good.”

Check it out—it’s truly amazing!
