We all need an outlet these days, but when you are living with autism, having an appropriate outlet takes on a whole new meaning. Fortunately for a young girl named Evie Mutsch, that outlet is available in a unique clothing line and she gets to help save animals at the same time.
The goal of the Eco Evie clothing line is to raise money to help endangered species around the world. The 9-year-old girl who is living with autism knows animals better than most people. She has designed the clothing to be made completely out of water bottles, so it has a dual impact on the environment.
According to TMJ4, Evie talked about the awareness that she is hoping to raise, saying: “Instead of all this destruction, this could put an end to it.”
Her mother helps her to design the shirts, pants, dresses, and hoodies.

It’s hard to tell what she will focus on next but it may have to do with the animals affected by the bushfires in Australia.
“Koalas, this is a fascinating part, they have the same fingerprint as we do!” said Evie according to KMJ4.
As you can imagine, her mother has a lot of good things to say about her daughter. She says that it is such a dramatic turnaround that she has seen in her daughter it is difficult to describe.
Evie was only 2 1/2 years old when she was diagnosed with autism.
“I think this is a wonderful platform for her to be able to talk about something she is inherently passionate about and so interested in and she gets to discuss that with different people,” said Kelly in an interview with the outlet.
Last year during the fall, Evie was out on the catwalk for her second fashion show. Although she has dealt with her fair share of obstacles, she shows that anything is possible when you put your mind to it.
I love to write and it keeps me busy. I've been working online, full time since 1999.
