In a radio interview with Terry Gross, actor, writer, and musician Dan Aykroyd revealed that he had been diagnosed with Tourette’s and Asperger’s syndrome.
Aykroyd won an Emmy award for Outstanding Writing in a Comedy (Variety or Music Series) due to his work with Saturday Night Live in 1977. He is probably best known for his film roles as Ray Stantz in Ghostbusters and Elwood Blues in The Blues Brothers.
Daryl Hannah is a celebrated actress probably best known for her roles as the replicant Pris in Ridley Scott’s 1982 science fiction classic Blade Runner and Elle Driver in Kill Bill, Volume 1 & 2. She even performed some of her own gymnastic stunts for Blade Runner. To date, she’s starred in over 40 feature films.
In September 2013, Daryl shared her autism diagnosis with the public, shining a much-needed light on the female experience of autism. Despite “debilitating shyness,” Daryl went on to become a remarkable and accomplished actress.
