Art Therapy And Autism
Connor is 14 years old and has autism. Over the years, his mother has found it difficult to get Connor engaged in activities. It wasn’t until she heard about art therapy that she found the key to unlock the door to his creativity, communication, and feelings.
Watch as his art therapist, Kathy, describes the benefits that art gives to children with autism. Art helps them engage and narrate language, and also offers opportunities to be flexible, make decisions, and express ideas.
